I am responsible for the development and execution of all district and council fundraising. I oversee the popcorn campaign, special events, Friends of Scouting and grant writing. I also oversee the council’s marketing committee for all marketing materials, social media and website.
I am originally from Cincinnati, Ohio where I was involved in Girl Scouts for 12 years. I earned my Girl Scout Silver Award. I started a Venturing Crew at the age of 14, where I received my Venturing Bronze Award. I began working for the Dan Beard Council at Cub World summer camp in 2011 and later served the entire Dan Beard Scout Reservation as the Marketing Director in 2014. I went to Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio where I studied Ecology and Conservation Biology. After graduation, I moved to Atlanta, Georgia to become a District Executive over a rural/suburban district in Metro-Atlanta for a year and a half. My husband, Ben, and I moved here after Ben got a job working for the South Dakota Division of Wildland Fire.
I love the outdoors so the Black Hills are perfect for me. I enjoy camping, hiking, kayaking, and canoeing. I love travelling. I am currently 10 states away from visiting every state and I plan to visit every National Park in my lifetime!
