Membership recruiting and retention is my primary responsibility. Growing scouting within the geographical boundary of the Black Hills Area Council. Maintaining the quality of the program delivered to our membership by trained leaders and ensuring the policies of the Boy Scouts is adhered to. To meet with prospective Chartered Partners to established new units to deliver the program to an increasing number of youth, and to serve as a member of the District Key 3.
I was a volunteer for many years with the Detroit Area Council serving as a Scoutmaster, Cubmaster and as an Explorer Advisor. I held many other position, serving as a commissioner and numerous other District and Council Committees. I received the Vigil Honor and District Award of Merit, Arrowman of the Year and several other recognitions. I started my professional career in the Lake Huron Area Council in Michigan as a rural District Executive and serving as Camp Director for Paul Bunyan Scout Reservation. I then went to the Tall Pine Council as a Senior District Executive serving in a rural district and also served as the Director of Camping. I also had the privilege of staffing Woodbadge and serving as Camp Director of Camp Tapico. I moved here from Michigan in April of 2017.
I enjoy hunting and fishing with my sons and campfires and camping with friends. I enjoy cooking for anyone but myself. Hockey and college football are my favorite sports and root fo the University of Michigan “GO BLUE”! and I will die a Lions Fan!
